What is the imigOS eligibility check?

The imigOS eligibility check is a free online tool that shows which visa and residence pathways a person's answers meet. The check asks structured questions about citizenship and residence, work, income and assets, family, and professional achievements. Most people finish in about 3 minutes, and the results open without an account.

What do the eligibility check results show?

The eligibility check results list each pathway with the criteria the answers meet and the criteria still open, in plain language. Set-aside pathways are the visas one change away, with the change named, such as an investment amount or a year of experience. A comparison sets pathways side by side on time, cost and difficulty.

Which visas does the imigOS eligibility check cover?

The imigOS eligibility check covers visa and residence pathways worldwide. Across Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, the pathways include digital nomad, remote work and passive income permits, such as Portugal's D7. In the US, the pathways include work visas such as the O-1, L-1, H-1B and E-2, and the employment-based green cards.

Is the imigOS eligibility check legal advice?

No, the imigOS eligibility check is informational, not legal advice. The check reads answers against current visa criteria and does not predict an officer's decision or promise approval. imigOS is a technology platform, not a law firm. The legal assessment of a case begins when the person connects with a licensed immigration attorney through the platform.

A free check that shows your pathways before you talk to anyone.

The imigOS eligibility check is a structured set of questions about your background, your work, your finances and your plans. When you finish, it shows you your pathways: the visas whose criteria your answers meet, and the criteria each one still has open. It also shows the pathways you could reach with a change you can plan for. It is free, it does not ask you to create an account to see the results, and most people finish it in about 3 minutes.

We built it because the first question in immigration is also the hardest one to get a straight answer to. Most people start with a search engine, a forum thread or a paid consultation. They come away with a list of visa names and no idea which of them actually fit. The eligibility check turns that first conversation into something you can do on your own, at your own pace, and keep.

Below: how the check works, what the results contain, what the check is not, and how a result becomes a real case on imigOS.

The check, step by step.

The check asks about one thing at a time: where you are from and where you live, what you do and for whom, what you earn and what you own. It also asks who is coming with you and what you have achieved in your field.

You watch this happen. A panel beside the questions lists the countries and pathways still in play and updates with every answer. You see your options narrow to the ones that fit instead of waiting for a verdict at the end.

Each result explains itself in plain language, so you can see why a pathway made your list.

Four parts in every result.

The results page is built to be read and kept, not skimmed once. It has four parts.

  • Your pathways. Each one shows the criteria your answers meet and the criteria that remain open, in plain language, with the requirement behind each line.
  • Set-aside pathways. The visas that are one change away, with the change named: an investment amount, a year of experience, a degree. You see what would move you onto the pathway.
  • A comparison. Pathways side by side on time, cost and difficulty, so two options you are weighing show their trade-off in one view.
  • A saved place. Save a pathway and come back to it. Your results stay with you, and the MigHub guide for each pathway is one click away.

The limits of the check.

The check is informational. It reads your answers against current criteria and shows you where you stand on paper. It does not predict an officer’s decision, and no result on imigOS is a promise of approval; every case is decided individually by the government that receives it.

It also does not replace a lawyer. When you decide to pursue a pathway, you connect with a licensed attorney through the platform, and the legal assessment of your case begins there.

From the results to a real case.

Your results open the imigOS flow. From the results page you can book a free discovery call with an imigos expath, one of our immigration experts. The expath walks through your pathways with you, picks up the questions the check did not ask, and tells you plainly whether a pathway looks worth pursuing.

If it does, you see which licensed attorneys are available for that visa and choose to proceed. From that point your case runs on imigOS: the documents, the timeline, the payments and the messages with your attorney, all in one place.

Availability.

The eligibility check is live now. It is free, and you do not need an account to see your results. Creating one lets you save pathways, receive updates on the visas you follow and book your discovery call.
